Scent Longevity & Sillage
How long do Sheikh Scents fragrances last on the skin?
Longevity depends on the concentration, your skin chemistry, and how you apply the fragrance. As a general guide:
- Eau de Parfum (EDP): 6-10 hours on skin, often longer on clothing
- Eau de Toilette (EDT): 4-6 hours
- Body Spray / Deodorant Spray: 2-4 hours, lighter projection, good for layering or an everyday refresh
- Roll-On / Attar (Concentrated Perfume Oil): 6-12+ hours. Oil-based formulas bond closely to skin and tend to last well with a more intimate sillage
For longer wear: apply to pulse points (wrists, neck, behind the ears, inner elbows) on moisturized skin. Layering a matching body lotion or an unscented base oil extends longevity noticeably.
What is sillage, and how strong are your fragrances?
Sillage (pronounced see-yazh) is the scent trail a fragrance leaves in the air around you. Many of our Middle Eastern fragrances, from houses like Lattafa, Armaf, and Rasasi, are known for bold, long-projecting sillage that often rivals Western designer counterparts. If you prefer something quieter, our roll-ons and body sprays sit closer to the skin.

Are your fragrances authentic?
Yes. Every product we carry is genuine and sourced from authorized U.S. distributors. We stock Middle Eastern and Gulf fragrance houses including Lattafa, Armaf, Al Rehab, Rasasi, Khadlaj, Nabeel, and Maison Alhambra.
Are these dupes or designer copies?
No, and the distinction matters. Our brands are independent fragrance houses with their own perfumers and original compositions. Some fragrances are inspired by well-known Western scents, meaning they share a similar olfactory direction, but they are original formulations rather than imitations or counterfeits. Think of two chefs interpreting the same cuisine.
That is why you can get world-class, long-lasting fragrance at a fraction of the price of European luxury houses without giving up authenticity.
Do your fragrances contain alcohol?
It varies by format. EDPs and EDTs are alcohol-based, which helps the scent project. Attars and concentrated perfume oils are alcohol-free, which suits anyone who prefers a skin-close, halal-friendly option.
Format Differences
What is the difference between Eau de Parfum, Body Spray, Roll-On, and Deodorant Spray?
- Eau de Parfum (EDP): 15-30% fragrance oil, 6-10 hrs longevity. Best for a signature scent, evenings, and special occasions
- Eau de Toilette (EDT): 5-15% fragrance oil, 4-6 hrs longevity. Best for daily wear and warm weather
- Body Spray / Deo Spray: 1-3% fragrance oil, 2-4 hrs longevity. Best for layering, the gym, and a casual refresh
- Roll-On / Attar Oil: concentrated oil with no alcohol, 6-12+ hrs longevity. Best for intimate wear, travel, and alcohol-free preference

Shipping
Where do you ship?
We ship to all 50 U.S. states and internationally. International rates are calculated at checkout based on your destination.
How much does shipping cost?
Flat $5.95 standard shipping on U.S. orders under $50. Free U.S. shipping on orders of $50 and over. International rates are calculated at checkout.
How long will it take to receive my order?
We process and ship orders on weekends (Friday to Sunday). Here is what to expect:
- Orders placed Friday to Sunday: usually processed and shipped the same weekend
- Orders placed Monday to Thursday: processed the following Friday to Sunday
- Estimated delivery after shipping: 3-7 business days via USPS Ground
- Total estimated time: up to 5-7 days processing plus 3-7 days transit
You will get a tracking number by email once your order ships.
What if my package is lost, stolen, or arrives damaged?
We are not responsible for packages the carrier marks as delivered but that are reported missing. Please file a claim with USPS directly. If your order arrives damaged, email us at Support@SheikhScents.com within 48 hours of delivery with photos and your order number.
Returns & Exchanges
What is your return policy?
We accept returns within 14 days of delivery. Items must be unused and in their original sealed packaging, with your receipt or proof of purchase. A 20% restocking fee applies to all approved returns.
Are any items non-returnable?
Yes. Opened or used fragrances, sale items, gift cards, and personalized or custom orders cannot be returned. As personal care goods, opened fragrances are non-returnable for hygiene reasons.
How do I start a return?
Email Support@SheikhScents.com to request a return authorization before sending anything back. Unapproved returns will not be accepted. Once approved, you will get a prepaid return label and instructions. Returns ship to our location in Baltimore, MD.
How long does a refund take?
Once we receive and inspect your return, approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 10 business days.
Can I exchange an item?
The fastest way to exchange is to return the original item and place a new order separately. That way you get what you want without waiting on the return to clear.
Do EU customers have additional rights?
Yes. EU customers get a 14-day cooling-off period and may cancel or return an order for any reason within that window.
