Athena is a white floral built on a sweet base, and the sweetness is what makes it wearable rather than formal. The first few minutes are citrus and a pepper bite, then the florals take over: jasmine sambac in front, ylang-ylang underneath, lily of the valley keeping it from turning heavy. After an hour it is mostly vanilla and soft woods with a powdery edge. Cooler weather and evenings suit it better than a hot afternoon.

One thing to know. A lot of people online call this a Burberry Goddess alternative. The notes do not support that, Goddess is lavender, vanilla, cocoa and ginger and Athena has none of those. If a Goddess-style scent is what you want, ask us for Club De Nuit Lionheart Woman instead.
