Fragrance Description
Fragrance Description
Oud and cocoa open it, saffron and rose fill the middle, and it settles into leather and incense.
This is a dark, smoky fragrance and not a fresh one, whatever the name suggests. Maison Alhambra sold the same juice as Jean Lowe Nouveau before the rename, and the bottles we stock are that original composition. The first ten minutes are sharp: bitter cocoa over oud, closer to burnt wood than to chocolate. Saffron and a jammy rose soften it after that, with caramel keeping it from going austere. The last stretch is leather, incense and a dark fruit note from blackcurrant, and it holds there for hours. Cold weather and evenings. It projects hard early, so one spray is enough in a room with other people.
Worth knowing before you buy: Maison Alhambra has since put out a lighter citrus version under the same Fraiche name. If you have smelled a fresh Jean Lowe Fraiche somewhere else, this is not that one. Come smell ours at the stall first.

Questions people ask
Is Jean Lowe Fraiche authentic?
Yes. It comes from licensed U.S. fragrance distributors and ships factory-sealed in its retail box. Come smell it at our stall in the Patapsco Flea Market in Baltimore before you buy.
How long does Jean Lowe Fraiche last?
Eight to ten hours on skin, longer on clothing. It is loud for the first couple of hours and then sits closer.
What does Jean Lowe Fraiche smell similar to?
We are not printing a designer comparison on this one. The bottle has been sold under two names and two different compositions, so the honest answer is to smell it before you commit.
