Mayar is a pink, juicy floral from Lattafa. Most people buy it for the opening: litchi and raspberry, with a green edge from violet leaf that stops it tasting like candy. Give it twenty minutes and the fruit steps back. White rose, peony and jasmine take over, clean and fairly bright.

The dry down is short and simple. Vanilla and musk sit close to the skin, and that is where it stays for the rest of the afternoon. It reads young and easy to like, good for daytime and warm weather when you want something pretty that will not fill a room.

A freshly opened bottle can smell a little sharp on the first spray. That settles after a week or two of use.
