Fragrance Description

Black pepper, pineapple and tobacco up front, coffee and iris underneath, then a long resinous drydown of vanilla, amber and dry woods.

Asad opens sharp and a little strange. Pineapple next to black pepper and raw tobacco should not work and somehow does. The heart is where it settles: coffee and patchouli give it an earthy weight, with iris keeping the sweetness in check. What is left after a couple of hours is vanilla, amber, benzoin and labdanum, warm and resinous, and it stays there for most of a day. It projects hard for the first hour, so go easy indoors.

We are not printing a designer comparison on this one. Reviewers name several and none of them hold up when you put the note lists side by side. It is its own thing, and at this price that is fine.
